5 Ways to Earn Money at Home
    By Eric Hammer
Whether you're a busy housewife trying to bring in some extra
money during these tough economic times, or you're a student
who needs the flexibility of working from home (or you have one
of a million other reasons for needing to earn money at home),
these are five great ways to earn extra cash from the comfort
of your own home. Some of them won't make a whole lot of money
while others could easily become full time businesses:
Turn Your Hobby Into a Business
Yes, it's been talked about before, but that's because this
is one of the surest ways to earn money at home and it's an infinitely
inventive way to do it. Whatever your hobby is, there is a good
chance that you can make money by indulging others who share
    your hobby.

Love collecting stamps? Consider buying and selling rare stamps
online. Love to bake? Make cookies at home and sell them through
the Internet or even in a roadside stand (you can also sell them
to local groceries with your own label on them). Maybe you love
to dance. Well then why not start offering dancing lessons at
home? The possibilities are endless and that's why this will
always be the number one recommendation for ways to earn money
    at home.

    Become a Phone Operator
There are a number of different companies which work in this
business - allowing you to work as a phone operator for other
businesses from home. In essence, you'll have to have a separate
phone line and you'll need to have a quite environment in which
to work. However, the work is definitely available for those
who happen to be home bound and have the hours to put in to work
in this business. Some examples of companies that work in this
business are Alpine Access and LiveOps. Note that these are not
sex operations either, but simply ordinary incoming and outgoing
    phone operators for regular businesses.
    Do Data Entry
Yes, it's dull. However, there are still reams of paper which
need to be entered into computers and the work is generally quite
steady. Plus, with the advent of the Internet, it's very easy
to earn money at home doing this kind of work. Expect to earn
minimum wage or a bit above that though as the demand for these
kinds of jobs usually outstrips supply. Some examples of companies
which hire for data entry work are Axion and Quicktate. Note
that many advertisements for data entry jobs are just scams so
you need to be careful about responding to ads (the two companies
mentioned previously have been vetted and are legitimate though).
Typically, if you are asked to pay a fee to apply or to find
listings of jobs, then it's probably a scam.
    Be an Affiliate Marketer
If you know a little something about building websites, then
you can make money by selling other people's products and do
it all from home. In fact, affiliate marketing is one of the
most popular ways to earn money at home. Keep in mind that it's
hard work though as the competition is fierce and you need to
really know your stuff to make money in this business. Some popular
affiliate marketing companies are ClickBank, Commission Junction,
    Linkshare and Google Affiliates.
    Write Something
Finally, there are almost always writing jobs available for
those who know how to write well. The work is easiest to find
at places like TextBroker and WriterAccess, though the pay at
those sites is not particularly good. Those who are really good
at writing can earn money at home by working for independent
companies which hire professional writers to write for specific
websites on sites such as Elance and Guru.
